Item never arrived
Long story short. Package was not delivered because tracking number didn’t match my address according to fed ex. So I don’t know how eBay can close case in favor of seller

OP8 months agoIs there a way to contact customer service to let them know. The email I received from eBay I responded to and told them.

Did you report this way? Is this what generated the email?

Important, select "The seller has violated one of eBay’s policies"
then "Other"
Explain that the seller is using fake USPS tracking numbers
Include these phrases
Don't write a novel, it's initially being read by a computer, that's why I want you to use those 3 specific phrases in the message.

I'm sorry that happened.
1) First, call the Fedex to see if the tracking number label contained your name and your address. (done)
b) If your name and address weren't on that label, ask the Fedex if they will put this in writing. Also, ask for the weight of the package using that tracking number. Follow the rest of the steps starting with 2 below:
FOR FEDEX
You can usually find the weight and other details for FedEx here:
https://www.fedex.com/en-us/tracking.html
Then click 'View More Details' to see the package weight. Screenshot that.
2) Then, report the seller using this process

3) Finally, contact Customer Service and inform them that the seller uploaded a "false tracking number" on your purchase. Request a refund.
Use the Customer Service that is on social media this way:
Just sent a private message to the page. Explain you have a fake or false tracking number situation.
Let me know how this goes, I've been burned a few times myself (including on Amazon), but I have been able to get a refund following this process.
There are additional steps to take if the above isn't effective, just come back and update me.

OP8 months agoTracking number does not match my address and signed by another person. Fed ex closed case because they need the address and name on package. The only way I can get that is buyer and he just keeps saying it’s delivered and now ghosting me. How did the buyer prove to eBay that it was shipped to me?
I had to appeal with eBay because they said buyer proved it was shipped to me

If your eBay appeal doesn't work, please follow my steps 2 and 3 above, using the information you gathered.
Fedex didn't misdeliver, the Seller didn't ship anything and used an already existing tracking number.

OP8 months agoGood morning.
eBay decided the package was stolen and they gave me a refund. It’s not what happened, but I will take it. Just don’t think it’s fair that seller is getting away with it. Just don’t want someone else.

I am glad you got a refund.
I agree the seller should be responsible.
If you followed the process above (reporting the seller on that page) and talking to customer service, it will count against the seller, and before long the seller will be gone. I wish it was now, but the system will work.
Thanks for coming back to update us. It helps.
