Item Lost, Refund Issued, Item Arrived
I purchased an item that was supposed to arrive on 4/28 but never did and the tracking said "awaiting delivery." I put in a request through USPS for it to be located and after a few days I received a phone call and an email from the post office that the package could not be located and to file for insurance. I let the seller know that what I had been told and even send a screenshot of the email received. I had to wait a few more days (5/3) to report it as "item not received" on ebay and when I did, a refund was issued. The seller let me know that it was showing that she could not file for insurance. (purchased through ebay until 5/21) Today, 8 days after it was supposed to be delivered - it shows up! Now, the seller is asking for me to either pay or ship the item back. I want to keep the item, of course, and I'm not trying to get away without paying but I'm trying to confirm that she is indeed not able to file for insurance and therefore be double paid, if you will. I don't understand why ebay would refund me weeks before they allow her to file for an insurance claim. Also, how do I even go about paying her now since the refund has been issued? Help!

You cannot pay for the item through Ebay after you have received a refund.
IF you agree to repay (not required), you and the seller can work out payment through Paypal or other online payment service.
