Item lost in shipping then turned up and buyr wants to return...

I’m looking for advice on how to handle a return in a bit of an unusual situation. I sold an item that was lost in transit, so I opened a case and refunded the buyer when it didn’t arrive. After the case was closed, the item ended up being delivered. The buyer would now like to return it, and I’m happy to cover the return shipping, but eBay won’t let me generate a return label since the case is closed.

Has anyone dealt with this? How did you handle the return shipping?

You can’t create a return label through eBay.

Open a free account at pirateship.com and buy the return label there. Print it to a jpeg file, then send the jpeg to the buyer in an eBay message.
