Item location advertised as in US. Turns out mega sellers inventory isn't US, so - stuck with tariff
I placed an order for auto parts with a company selling tens of thousands of parts under different seller names and tried to stick to US by choosing a seller stating located in California
Well, now there is no delivery info available listing has changed - still states located in California. However, also states if it is an international shipment buyer pays import duties and no refunds.
I try not to buy from sellers that sell more hair brushes than carburetors but the platform is flooded with mega sellers and seems like it can't be avoided.
Anyway, not looking forward to a fight over 145% increase when I'm notified the item shows up at port. Any suggestions or similar experiences?

Mentor1 year agoSince the seller did not enter the correct location of the item I would suggest that you contact eBay customer service and ask what you should do since you were misled by the seller. Also, just to let you know if the item is covered by the eBay Money Back Guaranty the seller does take returns within 30 days of delivery if the item is not as described and must pay for the return shipping even if it is an International sale.
You can contact customer service using this link to bypass the AI questions and ask for a call back: eBay Customer Service Customer service is open from 5am to 9pm Pacific Time.
