Item is inauthentic
I asked a seller if item is authentic and if there is proof. Seller assured me through an email chain the item is in fact authentic and sent a photo of the original receipt, which the part where item should appear on the receipt was conveniently illegible. I purchased the item and have not received it yet. My question is; if the item is a phony and the seller does not accept returns, will eBay help me with a return based on misrepresentation?

Mentor3 years agoGo to My ebay > Purchase History and select RETURN THIS ITEM. For the reason, select Not as Described. You will need to click on More actions. The seller will have 3 days to reply. If no reply, then click the link to Ask ebay to step in. If the seller accepts the return, he is responsible for supplying a prepaid shipping label. Print out the label, affix it to the box, and make sure the carrier scans the label. Once tracking shows DELIVERED back to the seller, he has 2 days to refund you. If no refund, go back to the case and click Ask ebay to step in, to force the refund.
