Item is clearly lost
I’ve told a claim for a refund on an item because it’s clearly lost in shipping. I ordered it 9 days ago and the tracking information hasn’t changed in 6 days. I’ve contacted my local post office and they are looking into the situation and have no clue where my package is. The seller only says it’s still in transit and won’t refund my money. eBay will but wants me to wait 3 business days and with the weekend being in the middle of those 3 business days it turned into 5 days. I think eBay should be able to override the system and manually look at all the information and refund me now. I’ve been a customer for 8+ years and I’ve purchased hundreds of items from eBay. Never once have I been dissatisfied with eBay but this time I am. I’m likely going to close my account after all my items I have ordered arrive. Any other suggestions ?

·2 years agoI think you are being unreasonable. Just because the package is not getting new tracking scans doesn't mean it is "clearly lost" and you won't get it, and it is reasonable for you to have to wait before either eBay or the seller refunds. Sounds like you were able to open an Item Not Received case and are waiting the 3 days before you can "Ask eBay to step in". That is the procedure in place for items not received and I see no good reason to short-cut it.
