Item I sold came back "return to sender" and buyer unreachable
About 5 weeks ago I sold an item and shipped it to the buyer. But a couple weeks later it came back to me marked "return to sender" with no additional information. I've sent the buyer several messages letting them know what has happened and he has not read them or written back.
The funds were released weeks ago. He gave me a good rating right after buying it, even before it was to be delivered to him which is really weird. What should I do since I can't reach them? Can I sell the item again?

The buyer had buyer's remorse and didn't want the item, so chose the lazy way to return it. He either didn't know doing so forfeited the mbg or didn't care. You aren't legally obligated to refund, but it would be magnanimous to withhold only the postage you paid for and refund the item cost only.
