Item held at Post office at customer request

Hi All,

Several weeks ago I sold an item to a buyer. The USPS tracking indicates that it is being held at the buyer's local post office at the buyer's request. This means that delivery is still showing as incomplete on ebay, so the funds are still on hold. I reached out to the buyer, and he wrote back that he received it.

How do I resolve this situation?

This happens sometimes with USPS when an item is held at the post office. Since it doesn’t get a final “Delivered” scan, eBay keeps the funds on hold even if the buyer already has it.

Ask the buyer to confirm in eBay that they received the item. That usually releases the hold.

The option is located next to there order. That should complete the transaction.

If nothing changes, reach out to eBay support and show them the tracking plus the buyer’s message confirming delivery. They can release the funds manually.
