item hasnt shipped after 12 days - and my cancellation was denied

After 12 days of waiting for an item to ship I tried to cancel an item. Ebay sent me this email on 2/12/26:

We couldn't cancel your order because it's too late to cancel. You should receive your order by February 10, 2026. You may contact the seller to return it once you receive it.

it was denied because i was supposed to receive it 2 days ago? I thought Ebay stopped all the blatant scammers and this was a safe place to spend your money?

seller also had zero transactions, which is my fault for trusting Ebay.

I ask for a refund and my cancellation is denied because the order hasn't shipped?

PLEASE HELP!

I opened a case with Ebay and contact the seller on 2/6 and today 2/13. no response from seller.

I got a feeling this guy is manipulating Ebay to his advantage

Here's what to do...

Check the estimated delivery date shown in your Purchase History. When that date has passed, you have up to 30 days to use the option next to the transaction to open a case for an item not received. The seller will have 3 business days to prove delivery or refund. If he doesn't, go back to the case on day 4 and use the option to ask eBay to step in. eBay will force the refund.

Note: Because of the severe weather impacting most of the US, eBay may be allowing more time for sellers in some locations to ship.
