Item hasnt arrived to buyer

Question

hello,I am a seller and an item hasn't arrived to the buyer and is 3 days late from expected delivery date. The buyer is concerned because the package was at a distribution center near her, then the package moved. I am trying to contact usps but something is up with the site and it will not let me submit anything at this time. Should I do anything else?Thank you

Stay in contact with your buyer and ask them to be patient and reassure them that their item will be delivered. Go to USPS.com and enter your tracking number. Once the tracking information comes up you have the option to sign up to receive emails with updates of the tracking. Also, go down to your post office and ask the postmaster to check on your tracking number. They have a better system of tracking than what's online including photos of your package as it travels through the system. I've had packages arriving a week or more late to my customers. During the pandemic, some were 3 weeks late. USPS is not perfect, they have glitches, but usually the item will be delivered. Never had one lost in 12 years. Patience and communication is most important.
