Item fails within seller's warranty period but return window closed on Ebay
Hi everyone,
I purchased two items from a seller last year, the items were listed as having two years warranty. After one year of use, one of the items failed. I immediately contacted the seller and was advised to return the item to their warehouse. I noticed on my purchases the return window was closed however, the seller via an Ebay message requested it be returned to their warehouse and provided the address via an Ebay message. I sent it via Fedex, I provided the tracking information and upon delivery I messaged the seller to ask about my refund.
They responded and said I will be refunded shortly however, one month has passed and after several follow up messages, the seller has stopped replying.
I am wondering if/how I can get Ebay to step in since the Seller advertised warranty, during the warranty period the item failed, they seller agreed to a full refund and now the seller has disappeared.

Seller "warranties" are useless unless the seller is an authorized seller/distributor for the corporation that manufactures the item.
In order for the item to have a warranty, the buyer would have to purchase a third party warranty service at the time of purchase.
