Item failed under warranty, seller refuses to act
Hello,
I've purchased a brand new item 9 months ago and now it failed. Seller who sold it to me refuses any help.
I offered posting it back to them for repair/replacement but they are confusing 30 day money back guarantee with 1 year manufacturer warranty and said that the window for return has closed - well yeah - 9 months ago, I know that. I am trying to do a warranty claim. UK consumer act and the Manufacturer clearly says that it is the seller's responsibility to deal with warranty claims within the 1 year manufacturers warranty.
(after that it's my problem)
I can't find a way to contact eBay directly about this so can anyone help?
Thanks
David

·2 years agoWarranties are through the manufacturer. Usually, unless the seller is an authorized retailer for the item, manufacturers won’t honor the warranty. There’s nothing eBay can do to enforce the warranty.
