Item dropped off in the street by the seller.
eBay should be protecting buyers who don’t receive their purchases!
In my case the items were dropped on the street outside of a locked gate of a business and left for anyone passing buy to take, which is exactly what happened. Therefore, I am out of pocket because eBay has closed my case which is very unfortunate.
You also cannot rely on the delivers who are forging signatures on the tracking.
As far as I’m concerned I have been scammed with no recourse!
Be wary of the sellers that you are purchasing from because you have to ensure that your items arrive at the correct address and signed for by someone who resides or works there!

By the seller? The seller was back home, sipping a mimosa. Your complaint is with the carrier. Which carrier was it, USPS, UPS, FedEx, another one? eBay can't protect buyers against a deliveryman who tosses the package out of the truck as he drives past the address, and the package is subsequently stolen by a passerby.
If the address you provided was that place with a locked gate, then you share some of the fault. Buyers are obligated to provide a secure delivery location. I think the deliveryman should have left a notice on the gate, which you could have presented at the carrier's office and collected the package. Hindsight is twenty twenty.
