Item different than advertised.

Question

Do I have any recourse if the seller sent me an item that wasn't as advertised? It apparently is past the return window, plus he doesn't take returns. The item he sent is not the brand he advertised OR he altered it and his listing stated it was new.

The seller’s return policy does not apply when an item is not as described, but if it is more than 30 days after you receive it then you cannot open a return through eBay.

You can contact your credit card issuer and have them open a dispute for an item not as described - most card can help for up to 180 days. If the seller wants the item returned, tell him he can send you a return label after you receive your refund.
