Item did not arrived but USPS marked it as delivered
Hi everyone hope you are doing well
I bought item her at ebay but the item never arrived. Howerver, USPS marked it as delivered.
I don't know to what address and who got it. Asked the seller for the provide the Proof of Delivery to obtain those details but never provided and accused me of fraud. What can I do? This worries me a lot because I don't trust to buy again in ebay because USPS lost the item and ebay is supporting the seller not the buyer to know what happened with this item. Anyone had a similar experience and what did you do?

Since you are located in Costa Rica, if you bought from a U.S. based seller they probably shipped the item using eBay International Shipping (EIS). The way that works, is the seller ships the item to an international shipping hub most likely in Glendale Heights, Illinois. Once the item is received there it will be held until enough packages bound for your country have been received, so that the international shipping cost is a bulk rate one.

Unfortunately, you may have fallen prey to the False tracking number scam. You filed a claim through eBay that you did not receive the item but since tracking showed it was delivered, they ruled against you.
You need to get a document from the Post Office stating that the package was not delivered to your address and then contact eBay with that information to prove delivery confirmation was to a different address than yours. Make sure you tell eBay it was a False tracking number scam.
We recently learned that many of the links we post to Request a call back are now simply forwarding members to eBay's Customer Service "How can we help you today?" page (link below). On that page members have to complete numerous choices before being given ways to be in direct contact with eBay. Depending on the subject, representative availability and other factors requesting a call back may or may not be possible. Chat or an email may be provided. If you get a Chat box Type “AGENT in the box. You can also contact eBay through Social Media if you have accounts there
-Contacting eBay via Social Media:
Contact customer service by sending a PRIVATE message on social media. Customer service verifies your identity before responding.

If for some reason eBay does not refund you then you will have to pursue a dispute with your card company or PayPal. Just know that if you do that eBay will not support you at all if you run into issues with the dispute.
Make sure you report the Seller: Report an issue with a seller | eBay

OP9 months agoSorry kind of new to what you are saying. Go the post office means to physically go to one of USPS offices to request the proof of delivery? Asking because Im located in Costa Rica. Also, someone in US may do this on my behalf? Because I was trying to get online support from USPS but Im not finding none.

Mentor9 months agoSorry I didn't check your profile page, my mistake.
Can you go to the listing on a computer and copy the URL ( information from the browser bar). Then we can look at the listing. It look something like this> https://www.ebay.com/itm/286302995341?itmmeta=01KE86AVXN3CQB298S54CVYW29&hash=item42a8fd038d:g:rZUAAeSwY6toer9i
It's possible that the seller used the eBay International Shipping Program.
This means that the seller ship to the US hub and the tracking shows delivery there then eBay ships the item to you.

My mistake, I did not check what country you are from, this is the US Community and while we do get foreign members posting here we don't always check their country of origin. Your English is so good it never dawned on me that you might not be an American.
