Item definitely not “Excellent pre-owned condition with no defects”

Question

What kind of recourse do I have if the seller listed the item, and when it arrived, it was definitely not “Excellent pre-owned condition with no defects”. I want to ask for a return but do not feel I should have to pay shipping since the product listing was very inaccurate.

Buyers are never required to pay return shipping when the item is 'not as described' in some way. [Please read eBay's Money Back Guarantee for reassurance. There's a link to it in every listing.] Just follow these directions exactly:

File a 'return request' from your Purchase History ... choosing 'Doesn't match description or photos' as the reason for the request. Include photos of the item if asked to do so.
If the seller fails to provide either a prepaid shipping label OR a full refund within 3 business days ... then go back to your open request on Day 4 and ask eBay to step in. eBay will do the rest.
