Item damaged in transit after eBay authentication?
The PSA 10 I ordered arrived with a small crack on one of the corners, so I'm wondering how I can get a partial refund from eBay? It potentially affected the card inside & PSA would regrade it if I were to send it in for a reholder.

Good morning @malo_6011 and thank you for the tag @comics-scifi-collectibles. The return process for authenticity items is based off the sellers return policy. If they allow returns and you're within that return window you can open a return case. The item will go through authentication to ensure it was not tampered with and then returned to the seller. However, since you're wanting a partial refund and to keep the item you will want to open a return case and then work with customer service and your seller to see what options are available. Mentor2 years agoPlease be aware that if the seller wants the card returned it will have to go back through the authenticator to prove that the card was not tampered with prior to the return. Some authenticated items cannot be returned by eBay rules.

Mentor2 years ago@malo_6011 You will need to file a refund request with the reason Arrived Damaged. The seller will have the option to issue a partial refund.

OP2 years agoIs there any way I can get the partial refund from eBay? They authenticated the card & may be responsible for the damage.

Mentor2 years ago@malo_6011 I actually messaged eBay community staff on how best to handle this. They are out of the office on the weekends and holidays. I THINK that eBay is responsible for refunds on items after they leave the Authenticity center and not the seller but I am not sure how this would work with a partial refund coming from eBay, IF that's how it works. This is a unique situation that I know contacting regular customer service won't solve other than advising you to return for refund.
