If the buyer filed a return request … you need to decide whether the item is worth getting back before you issue a full refund of item and shipping cost. eBay will refund the tax.
If the item IS worth getting back before … then you need to supply a prepaid shipping label and refund the buyer AFTER getting the item back.

OP1 year agoThe item was heavy thick vintage uranium glasses wrapped in multi layers of tissue, foam and large bubble wrap with the box filled with foam peanuts. Also the box had "fragile-glass" labels all over. Buyer contacted me directly and did not file through Ebay. I did the refund manually. I put a claim in through the P.O. but i'm not holding my breath. The buyer sent me great pictures of the damaged box and contents which was helpful. The box and contents were crushed.

·1 year agoYes, the buyer is entitled to a full refund. If they filed an Item Not As Described claim, you won't get a choice of how much to refund. If not, and they simply notified you via messages and you're sending a refund manually, send it for the full amount of the purchase.

OP1 year agoThank you! I issued a full refund through Ebay to the buyer and put a claim in through the P.O. though Im not holding my breath that the P.O. will come through, as in the past I have had them deny even with the pictures showing that clearly the package was damaged while in their care.
