Item damaged during shipment USPS
Buyer notified me that the item had arrived flattened out. It was not shipped in that condition.
The buyer should be able to get his money back. What steps do I need to take to enable that without refunding the sale.

Mentor2 weeks ago · EditedPer the Ebay Money Back Guarantee, the buyer can file a return request. You can either approve the return by providing a return shipping label and refund after receiving the returned item OR refund the buyer without requiring they return it. Either way, you will be required to refund the buyer.

You can file a claim with the shipping company if the damage occurred en route to the buyer.
