Item damaged during shipment
I have question!
I’m the seller and I shipped an item that when the buyer received item , USPS had damaged the item.
My question is who then files the claim for a refund?
Thank you in advance 😊

Mentor2 years agoYou file a claim with USPS. Have buyer send photos to include and also have buyer hang on to item and packaging for possible inspection. You will still need to refund your buyer. Or if you want the item back without filing a claim and before refunding, approve the return when the buyer opens a return request.

You refund the buyer, then you file the claim at usps.com.
Ask the buyer for photos of the item and the package. Ask the buyer to hold both until you hear about your claim - they may need to to take them to their PO for inspection.
