Item broken in shipping
If the item I purchased was broken during shipping, what is my recourse? I have contacted seller already. Waiting on reply …

Buyers are covered by the eBay Money back guarantee when an item arrives broken or damaged.
What you need to do is open an item not as described (arrived broken) refund through eBay. You have 30 days from the delivery date to do this.

Go to your purchase history and in the drop down menu for the item select "return this item, Select arrived damaged or broken for the return reason.
The seller will need to provide a return shipping label if they want the item back. Do not close the return, no matter what the seller tells you, until you are satisfied. The seller does not need you to close it to send a replacement or do a refund. If you close it you will not be able to reopen it. Make sure to monitor any deadlines so you don't miss them.
