Item been stolen
Hi there,
Wanted to reach out if anyone knew what to do - I recently purchased an item from ebay and the package came open and obviously stolen - I opened an item not received case with ebay and have proof that the package was delivered empty and my case has been closed an I am not eligible for a refund? I am not really sure what to as I can't appeal the decision and feel I have been scammed out of the money but it isn't action fraud as the seller sent the item! Help!

Mentor2 years agoThe case was closed in the sellers favor since you opened an Item not received case and the seller has proof that the package was delivered by tracking. This is an automatic win for the seller.
You needed to open an Item not as described case if nothing was in the package since the listing was not for an empty package. Unfortunately you can only open one case for an item. You could try contacting eBay customer service to see if they will give a curtesy refund.
