Item arrives broken and seller calls me a liar
I purchased a vinyl record and I waited several days with no notice it was being shipped. I had to request a tracking number from the seller before they would actually ship it. When the package arrived, it was undamaged on the outside and very securely packed. But when I opened it, I found the record inside chipped and the chip missing from inside. It could not have been damaged in transit because the missing piece would be inside so I know it was packed damaged. I demanded a refund and the seller called me a liar. What do I do now?

Mentor1 year agoThe easiest way is to go to your Purchase history, locate the item. Click on RETURN THIS ITEM because it is Not as Described. You will need to click on More to see that option. The seller will need to provide a prepaid shipping label for its return. The buyer prints out the label, affixes it to the box, and has the counter clerk scan the label. When tracking shows DELIVERED back to the seller, the seller needs to refund the buyer within 2 days. If no refund, the buyer goes back to the case and clicks on Ask ebay to step in, to force the refund.
ebay's Money Back Guarantee expires 30 days after receipt of the item. The MBG trumps a seller's No Returns policy if the Item is Not as Described. The no returns policy is only good for buyer's remorse. For those reasons, the seller can decline the return.
