Item arrived damaged
 
I purchased a collectors item that wasn't packaged properly and was damaged in shipping because of this. I've managed to straiten it out enough that I'd just like to keep it, but it's definitely not in the same condition as I purchased it. I attempted to contact the seller for a discount, since I'd like to keep it. But he wasn't very understanding and feels like he hasn't done anything wrong. So I'd like you to step in and see if there's anything that can be done. The pictures show the flimsy box and pollyfill packing thickness. The light duty pollyfill packing was only 3/4" thick and the only thing that was between the item and the outside of the box.

Mentor2 years ago@allaboutthewhips eBay can not force the seller to issue a partial refund. They can force the seller to pay return shipping and then refund you 100%.
Once you file a return request the seller may change their mind and offer a partial refund.
You are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee. This not only gets you a full refund but also goes on the sellers record.
You have 30 days from date of delivery to file an item not as described refund request on eBay.

4 business days after filing the return request if the seller has not provided a return shipping label OR sent the funds to your PayPal account to pay return shipping if they are in another country then ask eBay to step in and help:

If you have to purchase a label at the post office with the funds that the seller provided be sure to upload the tracking number into the case. The tracking number is your proof of delivery.
Returns to countries that do not have 1st class delivery confirmation MUST be shipped Priority Mail.
