Issues with Seller regarding a return case opened with eBay help.
eBay awarded me a return from a seller that misrepresented the condition of the item I purchased. eBay ruled in my favor, sent me a shipping label, I repacked and affixed the label & was ready to drop off item at FedX tomorrow. Next thing I know I'm getting a message from the seller saying they want me to AGREE to NOT ship back the item because they cannot afford the postage AND as soon as I respond to their message CONFIRMING I WILL NOT SHIP THE ITEM BACK they will give me a complete refund and I should keep the item. I cannot get ahold of a live agent and I don't know what to do. Considering the seller listed the item as "Pre-owned-Excellent" condition and the item in fact was roughly used, stained, sticky, dirty & frayed & torn in places then argued with me about the condition, I am reluctant to believe they will stand by their offer to refund my money IF I DON'T SEND IT BACK. I've never heard of such a thing, not to mention their offer came AFTER the courtesy response date and ONLY AFTER eBay ruled in my favor and sent me the return label. Suddenly they are no longer rude and want me to feel bad for them because they allegedly cannot afford the return postage. This is my first bad transaction on eBay and I really don't know what to do. Has anyone experienced this? What did you do?
