issues with autopay
I have been bidding on several items from a single seller. I have to select a payment option before I can bid. I bid on the items i want then remove payment option. when the auction ends an hour later autopay still pays for the item and i end up getting charged full shipping on several items instead of getting a combined shipping price. what is going on!?

Auto-pay is a Seller account setting and can be turned ON or OFF by the Seller for Auctions and Offers (there are two settings)
Within that hour after you win an auction you can change the payment method but either way you are charged. Sellers would have to Combine shipping on their end and then refund you the overage because as you have learned you cannot request an updated invoice.
Not all Sellers know eBay added that feature to their account and the default setting is ON. When you see those screens requiring you to provide a payment method BEFORE you bid on an auction or participate int eh Offer process you can stop and message the Seller and ask them if they will turn it off for you. It is a global account setting NOT set for each individual listing.
