Issues with a purchase
Hi everyone,
I was buying several clothing items on eBay. One of them never arrived. However, I mistakenly marked it as received because I had purchased a similar item and didn’t realize the issue at the time. The seller kindly reached out to let me know that the package had been returned and that they now have it back. I’m not sure why this happened, since the package never arrived at my address like the others I purchased.
The problem now is that the seller won’t resend the item unless I pay for new shipping, and I’m not sure how to do that. I contacted eBay, but they closed my case without offering a solution. I’d like to know what I can do. Thank you.

Mentor1 year agoWhen a package has been returned to the seller and you want the item to be resent you need to pay for the shipping again as the shipping carrier is not going to reship for free. The seller will need to send you an electronic way of paying such as a PayPal invoice or something like Venmo.

Mentor1 year ago@toderasa-peru You will need to work with the seller to pay to ship the item again. The seller is not responsible for misdirected mail or incorrect addresses. I understand that this is frustrating as a buyer. At least your seller sounds like they are willing to work with you.
There are two ways to handle this.... the seller issue a refund of the item price ONLY, not the outbound shipping, then they relist the item and you buy it again.
The other option is the seller can share their contact information such as phone number or email address and then you can send the payment to reship the item electronically. This is not considered an offsite sale since the transaction already took place.
