Issue with Currency Conversion Loss on Canceled Order Refund
I am writing to seek your assistance regarding a recurring financial issue I am experiencing with refunds on canceled orders.
I reside in Qatar and use a Qatari credit card linked to my eBay account. When I purchase an item, my bank charges me a specific exchange rate to convert USD to QAR. However, when a seller cancels an order and eBay issues a refund, the refund is processed at a significantly lower exchange rate.
Because of this difference, I am losing a substantial amount of money on every canceled order.
eBay is the only platform where I experience this issue. When other platforms refund an order, the original pending transaction is simply voided, and I do not lose money on the exchange rate.
