Is this real, or a scam?

I just got this "direct message" from a user, not an actual ebay message. I think it is a scam, and I'm not clicking the link, but just in case it is real, please let me know:
Subject: [Action Required] Account Verification: 24-Hour Deadline
Our systems have flagged your eBay account for a mandatory security verification. This is a standard sweep to align with our updated platform protocols.
Process is non-negotiable. Here is your secure verification path:

Timeline & Status:

Use the three dot menu in the upper right and Report the message to eBay. Yes, it is a scam.
