Please discard or donate the items
Here are some steps to take
1) Advise the seller through eBay messages to stop contacting you.
2) If they have called, block the number on your phone
3) Add the seller to your Block list so that they cannot message you.
add the user name here:

OP1 month agoThank you for taking the time to respond.
I am going to close my ebay account because I can't depend upon ebay to maintain any sense of security. I have always heard that ebay is much more concerned about its sellers than its buyers. Now that we have opened an ebay acct. for the first time, I now know how true that is.
Since the fake shipments came from Home Depot in Home Depot boxes, I contacted Home Depot and their security dept. said this a Brushing Attack. The eBay seller (scammer) has our personal info now and the last email sent from the scammer ebay seller using "Kristen Jarvis" sent to our delivery address, wants us to respond that we received the order. This brushing scam use to be just about a seller boosting fake reviews to increase sales but it has grown to be a much worse problem with identity theft. I cannot trust eBay for our security. eBay says it monitors emails/communication between buyers and sellers but that is not true. Nothing happened when the email from the scammer came telling me to disregard the name "Kristen Jarvis" on our delivery package. I was left on my own to figure out what to do. Every attempt I made to send a report (twice) to ebay came back as "Error Try back Later." When it comes to buying on eBay,, it truly is "BUYER BEWARE". Thank God for Home Depot who came to my aid. I have frozen our credit bureau files and am currently taking the steps the Fraud Dept. at Home Depot recommended. They also provided wonderful links to read about this scam... WHAT DID EBAY DO FOR ME???? NOTHING!!! Zero ZIP!!!!!

I'm sorry that happened.
Yes, it's a brushing scam
