Is this a scam?
I recently purchased the iPhone from you that I intended to give as a gift to my brother. However, I realized that I accidentally entered the wrong delivery address during checkout. Is it possible to change the destination address to my brother's address instead? I would also appreciate it if you could send me a photo of the shipping label/receipt with the tracking information, just so I can keep an eye on the package's progress.

Mentor3 years agoYou need to contact your seller to ask. Use the contact link on the item listing or next to the transaction in your order list.
If the seller can accommodate the request, he'll likely need to cancel the transaction and relist so you can repurchase with the correct address.
When the seller ships, you'll see the tracking # in your Purchase History if he posts it.

OP3 years agoI am the seller. The buyer sent me that message. I am wondering is this a scam tactic? And what should I do?

Mentor3 years agoFirst check to verify that the user ID on the message matches the user ID of your buyer. If they don't match, it's a scam and you should ignore the message - someone is trying to redirect the package to themselves.
If the IDs match, you can cancel the transaction using the reason that there is an issue with the buyer's address. (You lose Seller Protection if you don't ship to the address on the payment.) You'll find the option in the dropdown next to the transaction in your orders list. Then relist the item and send the new item # to the buyer so he can repurchase it with the correct address. Advise him to select/add the address when he checks out before completing payment.
