Is this a legitimate seller on Facebook Marketplace?
Has anyone entered into chat dialog with a seller on facebook marketplace and received a message like this:
As I have told in my first message, After my father died, I moved with my mother to Providence, RI, I am a flight attendant and I travel a lot, I don't have time for business. I had prearranged the deal with eBay Motors so my presence isn't necessary. They will take care of the whole process including deliver at your address. They offer you 5 days for inspection the vehicle and 6 month warranty. The shipping cost is included in the selling price of the vehicle. So if you want to move forward with ebay, please provide me your full info including: (Full name, Full Address and email address). one i got your info, i will forward to eBay and they will proceed with the order. They'll email you with all information that you need to complete this deal and also they will confirm that deal is conducted through them and i'm a legitimate seller. I'm waiting for your message with your info! I attached you a pdf with pics! Thank you

Just confirming that this is a SCAM. Ebay does not get involved in vehicle sales on other sites. The vehicle might not even exist.
I would stop communicating with these thieves who might not even be in the United States.

Mentor1 year agoIf the item is not listed on eBay then eBay has nothing to do with the sale. This is a common scam and you will lose any money you send to the scammer. eBay hold no items for sellers in any warehouse so any claim that they do is false.
