Is this a hacked account?
I was browsing Ebay and noticed a really good deal on a pokemon trading card. I immediately purchased it, without doing some more research. I saw the sellers recent feedback and did not see any recently sold pokemon cards. I only saw a recently sold that was for shoes. This account seems, suspicious. Did i just get scammed?

·2 years agoThe seller account has not been active for a very long time and has had only one purchase in 6 months. If the price was too good to be true, then it is probably a hijacked account. The delivery date is Feb 1, so that is when you can open a "not received" request for a refund.
Because the funds would likely be held in the case of a dormant account, it is unlikely a scammer would get very far (and it would be a pretty stupid scammer to try it on a dormant account). Most scams tout external payment methods as a means of circumventing eBay checkout, and I don't see that in this listing.
The next best scam in this situation would be to deliver some other item and then string out the resolution (such as a replacement) until eBay's Guarantees time out. If you do receive something else (or an empty envelope), you can open a "not as described" request.
Or, since this is a UPS shipment, a scammer could use the fake tracking number scam. As soon as the item ships, look for the destination zip code in tracking.
