Is there any seller protection options? Help.
Okay I sold a plasma lamp. The listing had Pictures and videos showing it working in great condition no issues at all. After delivery to the buyer it was a week until I was hit with a return request stating that the item is damaged and doesn't work. Limited on options and not knowing what to do and trying to follow eBay guidelines I purchased a shipping label to be sent back to me. After receiving the damaged item that doesn't work the only options I find are refunding the money and deducting 20% from the refund. This is not a repairable item as it is now worth nothing. Am I totally responsible for an item that was damaged while in the buyers possession? I keep looking for a place where I can ask eBay to step in

OP4 months agoDo you mean I shouldn't deduct anything? Because when I start looking through the refund options process and I can click on report a problem then Mark that the item was damaged it clearly gives me the option to deduct up to 20% off of the full refund price.

OP4 months agoI hit post a little too soon but like I was saying I can't find anything that makes eBay step in even though I read it everywhere I can't seem to make it happen. And would it do any good? Am I just SOL?
