Is there any resolution to a seller refusing to send the second half of an order?
Summary: ben_672857 expressed frustration over an incomplete order where a 3D printer was received without the filament and humidifier pack, which constituted a significant portion of the order's value. Despite communicating with the seller and opening a case with eBay, the claim was closed as they had filed it under the wrong reason. wooden_flower suggested contacting their credit card issuer to dispute the charge for an item not as described.
I am extremely frustrated as I write this.
I paid $458 for a 3D printer, filament and humidifier pack; the seller sent the 3D printer but not the filament or pack. The filament was at least half of the order value (10-15+) rolls. I was in constant communication with the seller for a month after receiving the 3D printer and he assured me he would send the remainder soon. I finally got fed up after 30 days of receiving the printer, I opened a ticket with eBay under "Item not Delivered" and explained the situation along with showing the messages between the seller and I. (This is where I messed up) The issue was closed as I opened under the wrong reason. I maintain I do not remember seeing a "Missing items or pieces" issue reasoning -- but okay, my bad. Surely since I opened the original issue within the eBay Money Back Guarantee window, the new ticket will be honored as the issue remains. The new "Missing items" request has been closed as we are outside of the return window.
This seems very unfair and wrong that I must pay full price for only half of the listed items. Is there any path forward to being reimbursed?

Mentor3 weeks agoThe correct case to file is a returns request for Item Not as Described. Since it is past the 30 days from receipt, ebay can no longer help you. If you paid with a credit card, you can contact the card issuer regarding a chargeback. Most credit cards can help within 180 days of the transaction.

Call your credit card issuer and ask them to open a dispute for an item not as described due to the missing parts.
