is there any kind of exceptions for filing an appeal to a closed case with proof that supports me?
so i sold an item last year sometime and shipped it out on time but somehow it got lost in transit so the tracking # just stayed the same saying i only printed the label when in fact i had already shipped it out days before it was supposed to be shipped. so he files a claim and wants a refund and he won since i wasnt able to provide any proof (up until yesterday that is) so EBAY says i have to give a refund which i did and was **bleep** off and didnt go back on ebay until recently and i looked up the tracking number and guess what?? yep it was delivered to the guys house but like 2 months late but it was delivered. so i have proof that from when i printed out the label to when they actually scanned it and delivered the item it was 2 months thats way past ebays 30 days to file an appeal on a case so they closed the case. but how can i get screwed out a brand new meta quest 3 128gb headset and had to pay him a refund for $411 and i am left with nothing while he got everything plus got leave negative feedback. how is that fair?? if anyone can help me please message me because im not going to let this one slide im beyond **bleep** at this point..
P.S-i sent the guy a message and asked him about it and if he tries to lie and say he never got it then i can catch his ass in a lie and i will have full proof of that i can guarantee..theres some advantages for working at a post office lol.

eBay cannot help you collect repayment from the buyer - there is no appeal on a refunded item not received claim.
You must continue to message the buyer - ask if he wants to keep the item or return it. If return, you will send a return label, if keep, how would he like to pay? You have to arrange payment outside of eBay - PayPal, venmo, zelle, etc. Be nice, use some humor - most buyers are honest and will either return or repay the refund.

OP1 year agoThank you for your help and i already messaged him but i really doubt i will hear from him again which is kinda messed up cuz i know if it was the other way around i would have given him his money back but it is what it is cuz it cant be what it aint..thanks again for the input i really appreciate it.
