Is there a way to remove a tracking number on an item?

Question

I sent an item and it was temporarily lost, then sent from elsewhere with a new tracking number. Now there are two tracking numbers by it, one shows delivered, the other not. It was delivered and I can't seem to get rid of the first one so it still shows it is on the way (with multiple packages).

If anyone can make sense of what I wrote here, maybe you have a solution. I'm concerned this could drag down my performance since it appears it's still in limbo.

Thank you!

I did have a chat with Ebay and she understood the situation but wasn't able to change (delete) the invalid tracking number. When I try to delete it in the item info, the message reads "Unknown error occurred while updating tracking. Please try again."

I also tried to Void it as it shows in tracking that USPS is still awaiting the item, but that didn't work either as it showed as already used. I contacted USPS who said it would have to be done via Ebay. She did say after a certain number of days, it will leave the USPS system.

So I am going to just let it go, though hopefully it won't affect my performance as a Top Seller, since it still reads as not fully delivered (coming in multiple packages).

Thank you anyway for your answer.

I understand. But, you have to contact eBay if you can't change the tracking information. I hope that they can see and understand what's going on and make the change. Good luck.

Click on the *Customer service link below, select the "Chat with us" option, and answer the automated questions until you're able to request an eBay Agent. You can also select the "Have us call you" option.

*If you have trouble connecting with an eBay agent, or getting a call back, try again later. These options are not available 24/7, so you'll have better results trying to contact eBay Monday to Sunday 5:00 am to 9:30 pm Pacific Time.
