Is there a way to leave a negative review for SquareTrade's warranty system?
I had to make a warranty claim on an item I purchased via Ebay that was admittedly a gamble - but the seller said the item had been tested and had offered a warranty for purchase.
Long story short, the item didn't work, and the claims process was long and involved and didn't cover the cost of the item, much less covering the cost of shipping and tax. In order to get the full cost back, I'd have to purchase a similar item and show that it cost the same or more than my initial purchase.
What exactly is the point of this kind of "protection" other than Allstate getting my money? I could have bought the item new and gotten a factory warranty that would send me a replacement without this hassle and at the end of the day it would have cost less.
I wanted to post this on the SquareTrade site and I see all kinds of positive feedback (one of the reasons I decided on this gamble) that seems to be unrelated to what they sell. I'd like to offer negative feedback to counter that but I can't find out how - if I do it from the purchased item, it will be a negative review of the seller who was fine and actually willing to work with me. But I don't think Square Trade should get a free ride.

You can leave feedback for Allstate/Squaretrade if you purchased the warranty yourself, not if it was included with the item cost.
They have plenty of negative feedback already, I wouldn't worry about not being able to add yours.
