Is there a way to get a seller to notice you as a potential customer besides asking eBay to step in?
I have been messaging the same seller for many, many months regarding an item which no one has bid on and I would like to make an offer on. The opening bid is way too high to balance with the very high posted shipping cost of this item. 99% of other sellers of items like this, but even of heavier weight and coming from further locations have shipping costs way less that even 1/3-1/2 the amount posted for this item, therefore since this seller still posts this item’s listing with the “make offer†button, that’s what I continue to do because I will not be caught with an exorbitant cost and no communication to adjust this. I have even asked eBay to step in and have this seller view my offers and messages 3 times so far and there has still been absolutely no communication from this 100% rated seller.

eBay can not make the seller lower the price or respond to you.
Find another seller that offers that item at a price you find more reasonable, or one that is willing to entertain your offers.
