Is there a dollar limit on US items when bidding from Canada? What is it?
An expensive camera came up for bidding. I am Canadian and was bidding from Canada. I was going to start a bid at $3,000 but was blocked by Ebay. The pop-up said I am limited to $2,000 for some reason. I have been on Ebay for 27 years and have a 100% record and regularly buy expensive items. Is there a dollar bidding limit for International bidders and if so, how can I bid higher if the need arises?

Mentor8 months agoIt sounds like the seller is using the eBay International Shipping program. Each country has limits on what can be shipped through the program. The limits can be things like the size of the package, weight o the package or the value of the item. If you are trying to bid more than the EIS program will allow for the country eBay probably will not allow you to bid above the limit. The seller would have to ship outside of the EIS program and change the listing to allow this.
