Is there a customer service phone number anymore?
I think i might have paccidentally purchased from a scam eBay listing -- requested to cancel - but am getting vague incoherent responses and seeing red flags -- such as mulitple listings with same item, obviously crafted by the same entity, using same pictures and text, but different seller names in countries al over the world. I do not think this is legit.

OP9 months agoI took a screen shot as you recommended. Seller has just added notification: "The seller is away until Sat, Jan 31, 2026. Expect a delay in delivery until they return." They removed all items for sale... and feedback now looks suspicious. Definitely a scam. UGH.

OP9 months agoThanks! I got a return call from human customer service agent requested during AI assistant chat, and they said seller has three days to respond to cancellation request and five business days to ship. If I do not receive any notice of cancellation, and have not been provided a working tacking number within this time frame, ebay will open a case. Item would still covered under eBay buyer protection -- even if it takes a long time to resolve. I was told if I call my credit card company to request hold payment, it will negate eBay refund guarantee.

If the seller is a scammer, requesting a cancellation is unlikely to be of any help. Scammers do not voluntarily give refunds.
You will likely have to wait to see what is delivered (if anything) and what the tracking shows in order to take effective action.
Bookmark the seller's profile page in case the listing is removed.
