Is shipping Cost a Refundable item when item is damaged with nor return
I shipped 2 margarita glasses from Florida to California. The buyer send me a pic of the official USPS box (big dent in the side) looked like it was kicked like a football. I refunded buyer the original purchase cost but not the shipping. Am I obligated to refund the shipping? Seems very unfair to the seller. I asked her to file a claim with the USPS for reimbursement of her shipping. Is that consistent with eBay policy?

Mentor3 years ago@finishingtouches1 No that is not eBay policy. eBay policy is you refund the buyer 100% and then YOU file the insurance claim.
Insurance is for the seller, the buyer is protected by the eBay money back guarnatee.
To file your claim you ask the buyer for pictures of the box, the items and the packing material. Then you file the claim on the USPS site. If the buyer has already filed the claim then you won't be able to also file one.
