Is Seller Real or SCAMMER
Getting feeling i am being scammed buy seller from China, no movement in shipping by tracking number . will not answer messages sent through eBay requesting basic info about purchase , if i feel this is a scam must i wait pass date to receive Item , Before i request refund .Or is there anyway eBay can reach out to seller and confirm seller real .money tied up waiting

Mentor5 months ago@rat7270. I understand your point. Sellers are not required by eBay to use tracking but they do have to make sure that the item arrives by the last estimated delivery date. The tracking while nice to have as a buyer is for the sellers protection to prove delivery.
You will just have to wait and file a not received refund request when it is one day PAST the last estimated delivery date.

I am not able to check the tracking number in 17track which usually works.

Mentor5 months ago@rat7270. I understand that it's frustrating but you do have to wait until after the last estimated delivery date to file a not received refund request case.
An eBay agent cannot force a refund sooner.
Come back to this post for more assistance if the item does arrive and is not as described.

NEVER again buy anything coming from China

Mentor5 months ago@rat7270. Most sellers don't get paid until after tracking shows delivery unless they are long time sellers with excellent consistent customer service.
Sellers that don't provide ANY tracking have funds held for 31 days.
You can't believe everything you see on You Tube. eBay's policies and procedures have improved over the years too.
Refund requests do go on the sellers record. If they don't refund willingly then they get a DEFECT which hurts their accounts even more.
All that said international purchases can be more difficult if you need to return an item and you have to be prepared to pay tariffs.

Mentor5 months agoeBay paying sellers prior to delivery will depend on how experienced the seller is. New sellers or those with few sales will not be paid until tracking shows the item has been delivered. Sellers have to earn the ability to receive payment prior to delivery by being great sellers who do not cause problems and have sold many items over a specific period of time.

1) First, call the postal carrier to see if the tracking number label had your name and address on it.
a) If your name and correct address were on the label, ask the postal carrier to review the GPS on the delivery, retrieve the item from the wrong house, and deliver it to you.
b) If your name and address weren't on that label, ask the postal carrier if they will put this in writing. Also, ask for the weight of the package using that tracking number. Follow the rest of the steps here:
2) Then, report the seller using this process

Important, select "Suspicious seller activity"
then "Other"
Explain that the seller is using fake USPS tracking numbers
Include these phrases
Seller uploaded tracking not associated with my transaction
Tracking details were not accurate
Seller use a false tracking number
Don't write a novel, it's initially being read by a computer, that's why I want you to use those 3 specific phrases in the message.
3) Finally, contact Customer Service and inform them that the seller uploaded a "false tracking number" on your purchase. Request a refund.
Use the Customer Service that is on social media this way:

Just send a private message to the page. Explain you have a fake or false tracking number situation.
If the above steps do not result in a refund then you will have to pursue a chargeback with your funding source ( bank, credit card, etc) . Once you ask your funding source to step in eBay can no longer assist you.

Mentor5 months agoGo to your Purchase History and locate the purchased item. What is the last estimated delivery date? You have up to 30 days past that date in order to file an Item Not Received case, to get your money back. Once you file, the seller has 3 days to provide a tracking number that shows Delivered or issue a full refund. If the seller does neither, on day 4 you return to the case and click Ask ebay to step in, to force a refund.
If it is past the 30 day limit, you will need to log into Paypal and file an Item Not Received case there, if that is how you paid, as they allow up to 180 days from date of purchase to file, to get your money back.
If you paid with a credit card, file a charge back with your credit card issuer.
