Is REPLY WITH OFFER only for that user or for "everyone"
When I click REPLY WITH OFFER in an email sent to me regarding a product, I expected the email and offer to ONLY go to the person who I was replying too. Where did I get this wrong?
The offer was for a Buyer who requested part of the order for which I was willing to do. But, somehow someone else got the offer and made the purchase. I have sent them the items... no big deal. But, I don't want this to happen again!!!!
I can't seem to contact eBay to ask. Can someone guide me of what happens when you click REPLY WITH OFFER and how to go about fulfilling such request.

Yup, that's not what I expected.
Do I wait here for a reply from eBay or do I reach them a different way?

The majority of the phone agents read from scripts and won't know the answer.
While the community team if needed can ask for more information from specific departments.
I'll make sure you see their reply.

OP1 year agoForgot to add... I selected the option to make my message public not thinking the offer would be made public, too.
I did click both REPLY and REPLY WITH OFFER.

Mentor1 year ago@sdapetitelady7 Just to clarify you used reply with offer in a eBay message? To my knowledge that should have gone JUST to the buyer that you were replying to.
Let me tag community staff to find out if this is be eBay design or a technical issue.

OP1 year agoCorrect. I replied from an eBay message from the user. It had a "REPLY WITH OFFER" button.
I believe there was an option to make my message public... but I don't recall where, and I selected that option.
