Is it required to fill in the region when listing dvds?
New at listing dvds. Just noticed the field Region in the description area. Is this required and what does it mean?

Mentor1 year agoRegion may be a required specific or a recommended specific. The item specifics section is divided into three parts with the top section being required specifics. You will not be able to list the item if a required specific is not filled in.
With DVD's region means the areas that eh DVD player is designed to play the DVD. The world is divided into DVD regions and if a DVD is locked to a specific region then it will only play on DVD players that only allow that region. For example Region 1 is for North America and players produced in North America. Region 0 is open to play on any player around the world.

Mentor1 year ago. . . and a Region 0 (aka non-Region) player will play a dvd regardless of the dvd's coding. I bought my region zero player right here on eBay, and it has played dvds from anywhere. China, England, Japan, etc. And from the US, of course.
