Is it ok to give seller my zip code for shipping fees?
Trying to buy an item but checkout tells me “contact seller for shipping feeâ€. Should I give seller my zip code for shipping or should I go thru eBay so they can handle?

·1 year agoThere's really no risk to giving out just your zip code, so it should be fine, but what that tells me is that the seller didn't set up their shipping settings for that item. If it's a big bulky item, especially something that might need freight shipping, that's normal, but if it's an average or smaller item, I would wonder at why that was the case. Regardless, there's no problem with giving the seller your zip code for them to calculate the shipping, just make sure you're being appropriately cautious about the transaction as a whole.
