Is it fair?
What is a fair time to be able to cancel an order if purchasing an item from Ebay?
the very reason for this question is due to sellers business ethics and ebay standing behind them. For instance, purchase an item….3 days go by and you ask seller for tracking, and the reply is tracking will be provided once shipped. Buyer says ok, can I cancel the order, and procrastination happens until all of sudden tracking is provided. Ebay stands behind the sellers decision.
so second question, what is the purpose of buying from ebay if they don’t protect the buyer even though the evidence is in the messages?

Mentor2 years agoeBay protects buyers way more than sellers. It has always been that only sellers can cancel a purchase. Buyers can only request that the purchase be cancelled. If the item does not arrive by at least one day after the estimated delivery date shown on your purchase history then you can open a case for an item not received and you will win if the seller cannot prove that the item has been shipped through tracking.
