Is it a scam? What should I do?
Hey guys.
I have the following problem:
I bought two phones for ~250.- on ebay. They should be sent from China.
I received a “gift†from the seller, which is a very cheap plastic phone holder with a note that the real package will arrive later. It does not have the same tracking number as the real package and they neither give an updated tracking number for the real package (as in some scams). If I track the parcel on ebay it says that the package is still in China. But if I use a tracking website (parcelsapp.com) it shows that the package was already delivered on the First of July. But the phones had not yet arrived. The estimated delivery time on ebay is the 27th of June - 20th of August.
So what should I do? Should I open a claim that the package has not arrived or one that the item is not as it was described. Furthermore, I would need to start the claim at least 30 days after the package arrived, but on ebay it says that the package is still in transit and on parcelsapp.com it says that the package has arrived.
Everything seems a little bit scamy. I do not know what to do.
Edit:
If I use another tracking site, such as 17track it also shows that the parcel is still in China.

OP3 years agoI just chatted with someone from eBay and they opened a case because the parcel was in transit for more than 1.5 months and they consider it as lost in transit.
Thus, I close this forum post. Thanks for your help @kensgiftshop.

The one for the phone or the phone holder you received?
