Is ebays policy on appealing defects fair?
I have corrected defects by contacting buyers and selling them the original items I misplaced, but the defects are still there, and I'm paying for them. Fair?

Unless you are relisting your misplaced items (so that eBay gets its fees) when you resell them to buyers … eBay wouldn’t know about those transactions.
[I’m assuming you received the defects for cancelling items as being ‘out of stock’.]
You can try contacting eBay and letting them know that you found the misplaced items … and resold them to the buyers. I don’t know if eBay removes defects for this reason. Good luck!

·2 years agoDid you get the items shipped before your stated handling time? That’s what would determine if it’s “fair†or not.
I recently had a late shipment because an item sold while I was in the hospital. I probably got a defect. But I’m going to suck it up and accept it, because while it wasn’t “fair†that it happened because I was in the hospital, the bottom line was that I didn’t ship when I said I would.
