Is eBay trying to go out of business?

I tried to access my eBay account through a VPN and received a message with a telephone number and a code and I was told to call that number and provide the code. I did that and then they started asking me all kinds of other questions which I wasn't willing to answer. Does that mean I have to start shopping at Amazon now and forget ebay?

Well, when I called from the phone # eBay has on-file for me and I produced the secret code and told the poor-English-speaking person my zip code, full name and phone number that eBay would know from caller ID and the other info I provided that I was legit. EBay should tell Uncle Sam to [removed by moderator] and start operating in the interest of its customers rather than following the edicts of a tyrannical government. [Removed by moderator].

So you are suggesting that I CONTINUE to waste my time compensating for eBay's poor management skills? No thanks, I don't like rewarding incompetency.

@mwaynebennett It's possible you should connect to eBay using a direct internet connection rather than a VPN.
